Dr. William Kidd
Dr. Bill Kidd’s interest in veterinary medicine started at an early age. He had an interest in science and a love for animals. Combining the two to help people solve their pet’s medical problems motivated him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Bill graduated from U.C. Davis with an undergraduate degree in physiology and continued his studies at UCD where he attained his veterinary medical degree.
After working for several veterinary practices, Bill had certain ideals of how he wanted to run his practice. The opportunity to own Moraga Veterinary Hospital became available in 1977. Moraga seemed a natural fit because he lived in the area, and loved the community. He remains a local resident and along with his wife Susan, they have raised three sons.
Dr. Ian Kidd
Dr. Ian Kidd is an experienced veterinarian who grew up in Lamorinda and always had an appreciation for animals. A Campolindo High School graduate, Dr. Ian went on to study biology at Lewis & Clark College where he confirmed his interest in animal medicine. Dr. Ian ventured to New Zealand’s Massey University to study veterinary medicine. He returned to the U.S. after graduating in 2008 to do a small animal internship at East Bay Veterinary Specialists in Walnut Creek. Dr. Ian joined Moraga Veterinary Hospital in 2010 and has a passion for helping families understand their animal friend’s health and to make sound decisions about care.
Dr. Ian lives in Moraga with his wife, their three children, and their beloved yellow lab named Russell. When he’s not at work, you might see Ian out mountain biking on local trails or cheering for his kids in their various activities. He enjoys camping, snow skiing, and hiking with his family.
Dr. Scott Kidd
Dr. Scott Kidd is the youngest brother of the Kidd family and followed in his father and brother’s footsteps in the field of veterinary medicine. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he attended the School of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University followed by a year at UC Davis. Post-graduate work has taken Scott to Australia and New York City for small animal internships and to Reno for a surgical internship. Dr. Scott went on to complete his small animal surgery residency in Ohio. Dr. Scott currently practices with the Sierra Veterinary Specialists in Reno and occasionally helps with advanced surgeries at Moraga Veterinary Hospital.
